ABOUT STEFFIE WALLACE
Steffie Wallace is a Melbourne-based landscape artist who has been painting and exhibiting for 40 years. In addition to her art studies at the National Gallery Art School, the Prahran College of Advanced Education and Swinburne University, she has worked as an illustrator, art journalist, CAE lecturer, gallery director, art marketing manager and web designer.
Steffie's work is held in local and overseas collections and has been widely exhibited, both in Australia and overseas. She has won national and international awards, the most recent being the Gagliardi Gallery prize at the 2021 London Art Biennale; the winning artists exhibited their work at the Gagliardi Gallery in London in 2022. In that same year, Steffie became one of seven artists-in-residence selected by the Bayside Gallery for the Artists Studio Program at ‘Billilla' in Brighton, Victoria. The collective works produced were exhibited at the Bayside Gallery in late 2023.
